About this program
The St. Croix Valley Business Innovation Center in River Falls provides micro-grants to help businesses in St. Croix, Pierce, and Polk counties grow. The program uses WEDC Entrepreneurship Partner Grant funding and local match dollars to cover up to 90% of critical growth expenses such as legal review, marketing, accounting software, website redesign, equipment, and supplies, with preference for businesses connected to regional entrepreneurship training and underserved applicants.
Eligibility
Businesses in St. Croix, Pierce, or Polk counties, including River Falls businesses, may apply, with priority for SCVBIC incubation graduates, SBDC Entrepreneur Training Program graduates, CVTC entrepreneur graduates, UW-River Falls technical training completers, and underserved rural, veteran, and minority applicants.
Requirements
- Business must be located in St. Croix, Pierce, or Polk County.
- Request must support eligible growth expenses for the business.
- Applicant must complete a minimum of two entrepreneurship trainings from eligible resources.
