Northside Facade Improvement Grant Program
La Crosse provides matching facade grants up to $30,000 for historic buildings and $15,000 for non-historic buildings in the Northside district.
About this program
The Northside Facade Improvement Grant Program supports exterior revitalization of business and commercial properties located in the City of La Crosse north of the La Crosse River. The program reimburses eligible facade work on qualifying older buildings, with priority for street-facing improvements that restore architectural character, improve building appearance, and strengthen commercial activity in North La Crosse.
Eligibility
Property owners and building tenants with owner permission may apply for eligible buildings in the designated Northside district that were constructed at least 50 years ago.
Requirements
- Property must be located within the designated Northside district in the City of La Crosse.
- Building must have been constructed 50 years ago or more.
- Applicant must be the property owner or a building tenant with written property owner permission.
