The Innovate Alabama Tax Credit Program supports Alabama's innovation ecosystem by providing tax credits to taxpayers that contribute to approved economic development organizations for qualifying activities that grow small businesses, accelerators, and technology entrepreneurship. Eligibility
Eligible participants include approved economic development organizations carrying out qualifying innovation projects and taxpayers making approved contributions to those organizations.
Requirements
- Economic development organization must apply for designation and project approval through Innovate Alabama.
- Project must involve qualifying innovation, entrepreneurship, accelerator, or small business growth activities.
- Taxpayer contribution must be made to an approved economic development organization for an approved project.
