Oklahoma City Tax Increment Financing Districts

Oklahoma City uses TIF districts to support qualifying redevelopment, public infrastructure, and economic development projects.

About this program

Oklahoma City uses tax increment financing districts as a local redevelopment and economic development tool. The City and The Alliance for Economic Development of Oklahoma City coordinate TIF districts to help finance ambitious redevelopment projects, public infrastructure, retail and urban renewal initiatives, job creation sites, and public-private development opportunities. Assistance is project-specific and generally tied to eligible costs, public benefit, and approved project plans.

Eligibility

  • Project must be located in an eligible Oklahoma City TIF district or approved project plan area.
  • Project must support redevelopment, public infrastructure, economic development, retail strategy, urban renewal, or job creation objectives.
  • Applicant must document project scope, location, financing, eligible costs, timeline, tax increment projections, and public benefit.
