Eau Claire may use TIF assistance to reimburse eligible development, redevelopment, infrastructure, and public improvement costs.
About this program
The City of Eau Claire uses Tax Incremental Financing districts to promote development, redevelopment, infrastructure improvements, and business investment. Project-specific assistance may reimburse eligible costs such as land acquisition, site preparation, utilities, streets, public improvements, environmental work, or other costs that support development within a TIF district and meet City policy requirements.
Eligibility
Developers, businesses, property owners, and public-private partners with eligible projects in Eau Claire TIF districts may seek City assistance.
Requirements
- Project must be located in or directly benefit an Eau Claire Tax Incremental Financing district.
- Project must align with the district project plan and City economic development objectives.
- Applicant must demonstrate need for public assistance and project public benefit.
