About this program
The Charlotte Urban Design Center’s Placemaking Grant Program supports small-scale, community-driven projects that enhance neighborhood vibrancy, safety, identity, and public space. Neighborhoods, individuals, businesses, and organizations can use the program to define the character of their communities.
Eligibility
Neighborhood groups, individuals, businesses, nonprofits, and community partners proposing eligible placemaking projects in Charlotte.
Requirements
- Propose an eligible small-scale placemaking project in Charlotte
- Work with the Charlotte Urban Design Center and obtain required permissions
- Submit project scope, budget, timeline, location information, and implementation plan
