Provides SSBCI-backed equity co-investment capital to eligible West Virginia small businesses raising private investment.
About this program
The WVCAP Seed Capital Co-Investment Fund co-invests directly alongside venture capital funds, angel investors, or pre-qualified nonprofit investment partners in West Virginia small businesses raising equity capital. Eligible companies should be well-managed, have strong long-term growth prospects from differentiated products or services, and be located in, employ a workforce in, and offer products or services for the benefit of West Virginia.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are West Virginia small businesses raising equity capital that have strong growth prospects and private investment participation.
Requirements
- Company must be a small business located in West Virginia or otherwise meet WVCAP location and benefit requirements.
- Company must be raising equity capital investment.
- Investment must be matched by private financing.
