About this program
The Strategic Site Readiness Program provides financial assistance to eligible applicants for activities that make Michigan sites more competitive for business attraction and expansion. Eligible uses may include site acquisition, site studies, infrastructure, demolition, environmental work, and other activities that improve site readiness for future economic development projects.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants include local economic development corporations, units of government, public authorities, and other eligible entities working to prepare strategic sites for business development in Michigan.
Requirements
- Project must improve the readiness of a Michigan site for business attraction or expansion.
- Applicant must be an eligible public, quasi-public, or economic development entity.
- Eligible activities may include site studies, acquisition, infrastructure, demolition, environmental work, or other readiness improvements.
