About this program
Durham’s Sign and Facade Grant Program provides matching support for eligible exterior improvements that improve the pedestrian environment and business district appearance. Eligible work can include signage, facade upgrades, storefront repair, lighting, awnings, and related commercial corridor improvements.
Eligibility
Businesses and commercial property owners in eligible Durham program areas with qualifying sign or facade improvement projects.
Requirements
- Be located in an eligible Durham commercial corridor or program area
- Submit application, project scope, cost estimates, photos, owner consent, and matching funds documentation
- Complete approved improvements according to city and reimbursement requirements
