About this program
The Innovation Voucher program helps Rhode Island small businesses unlock research and development capacity by funding technical assistance from eligible research institutions, medical centers, or other approved knowledge providers.
Eligibility
Rhode Island small businesses with 500 or fewer employees seeking R&D or technical assistance from eligible knowledge providers, including Pawtucket businesses.
Requirements
- Apply through Rhode Island Commerce during an open round
- Submit business information, innovation need, provider scope, and project budget
- Use funds for approved R&D or technical assistance and complete reporting
