About this program
The Elevate La Crosse Facade Improvement Grant helps business and property owners improve downtown commercial building exteriors. The program supports exterior rehabilitation, storefront upgrades, signage, lighting, awnings, accessibility, and other visible improvements that strengthen the downtown business district and preserve the character of La Crosse's commercial core.
Eligibility
Eligible downtown La Crosse property owners and business tenants with owner permission may apply for qualifying facade or storefront improvement projects.
Requirements
- Property must be located in the eligible Elevate La Crosse or downtown program area.
- Project must involve eligible exterior facade, storefront, signage, lighting, awning, or accessibility improvements.
- Applicant must submit project scope, photos, budget, cost estimates, and property owner authorization if applicable.
