About this program
The Great Streets Retail Small Business Grant supports capital improvements by qualified small businesses in designated Great Streets corridors, helping businesses renovate, attract customers, and create jobs for District residents.
Eligibility
For-profit retail or service-oriented small businesses and eligible nonprofit arts and humanities organizations operating from physical locations in designated Great Streets corridors.
Requirements
- Operate from an eligible Great Streets corridor location
- Submit a competitive application with renovation scope and budget
- Meet DC business licensing, tax, site control, and project readiness requirements
