High-Tech Manufacturing Credit
Provides West Virginia tax credits to high-tech manufacturers creating at least 20 new jobs.
About this program
The High-Tech Manufacturing Credit supports businesses that manufacture certain computers, peripheral equipment, electronic components, or semiconductors in West Virginia. Eligible companies that create at least 20 new jobs within one year after qualified investment is placed in service can offset 100% of corporate net income tax and certain pass-through personal income tax for 20 consecutive years.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are high-tech manufacturers of certain computers, peripheral equipment, electronic components, or semiconductors that make qualified investment and create at least 20 new jobs in West Virginia.
Requirements
- Business must manufacture eligible computers, peripheral equipment, electronic components, or semiconductors.
- Business must make qualified investment in West Virginia.
- Business must create at least 20 new jobs within one year after qualified investment is placed in service.
