Small-business financing support through participating USVI banks.
About this program
Under the USVI State Small Business Credit Initiative, the Loan Participation Program supports short- to long-term financing for small businesses through participating local banks to help businesses grow, expand, create jobs, and retain jobs.
Eligibility
U.S. Virgin Islands small businesses and startups seeking eligible financing through participating SSBCI banks.
Requirements
- Apply through a participating USVI SSBCI lender such as Banco Popular, FirstBank, Merchants Commercial Bank, or Oriental Bank
- Provide business financials, loan request, use of funds, owner information, and job or impact details
- Meet lender underwriting and SSBCI eligible-use requirements
