About this program
Connecticut's brownfield programs provide grants and loans for assessment, remediation, and redevelopment of contaminated or underused properties to return sites to productive economic and community use.
Eligibility
Municipalities, economic development agencies, nonprofit organizations, and eligible developers with qualifying Connecticut brownfield projects.
Requirements
- Apply during a DECD brownfield funding round
- Submit site information, redevelopment plan, budget, and environmental documentation
- Comply with remediation, procurement, and reporting requirements
