About this program
The New Mexico Sustainable Building Tax Credit provides tax credits for qualifying commercial and residential sustainable building projects that meet state certification standards. Commercial property owners and businesses may use the credit for eligible new construction, renovations, or energy-efficient improvements that satisfy program requirements and receive certification from the Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department.

Requirements
