Groton's Tax Increment Financing tools can support eligible public improvements, infrastructure, and development activities that catalyze private investment and redevelopment within approved TIF district areas.
Eligibility
Eligible developers, businesses, and public-private projects located in qualifying City of Groton TIF areas and aligned with the approved TIF district plan.
Requirements
- Engage City staff before project approval
- Submit project scope, location, projected assessed value, public improvement needs, financing gap, and development timeline
- Receive City review, agreement, and approval before assistance is committed
