Eligibility
Hawaiʻi DVR consumers with disabilities may pursue self-employment when DVR determines it is an appropriate employment outcome and services are included in the approved plan.
Requirements
- Apply and be found eligible for DVR services.
- Work with a DVR counselor to evaluate whether self-employment is an appropriate employment goal.
- Complete required business planning and documentation before DVR approves any self-employment-related supports.
