About this program
Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality Solid Waste Assistance Grants support local governments with unauthorized dump cleanup, solid waste enforcement officers, public education, collection of bulky wastes and recyclables, and recycling programs such as prior Coahoma County and Clarksdale efforts.
Eligibility
Eligible Mississippi counties, municipalities, and local public entities including Coahoma County or Clarksdale for qualifying solid waste programs.
Requirements

- Submit local solid waste project scope, budget, community need, and compliance information
- Use funds for eligible cleanup, enforcement, education, recycling, or collection activities
