About this program
The Community Quota Entity Loan Program provides long-term low-interest financing for CQEs to purchase quota shares and lease them back to local resident fishermen.
Eligibility
Eligible Alaska Community Quota Entities may apply for qualifying halibut and sablefish quota share purchases.
Requirements
- Submit CQE loan application
- Document quota share purchase and community eligibility
- Lease quota back to local resident fishermen under program rules
