About this program

New Mexico’s Local Economic Development Act allows state and local governments to provide project participation support to qualifying businesses and economic development projects. LEDA funds can help close financing gaps for land, buildings, infrastructure, and other eligible project costs tied to job creation and investment.

Eligibility

Qualifying economic base businesses and public-private projects meeting New Mexico LEDA requirements and local government participation rules.

Requirements

  • Apply through a local government partner and meet economic base business eligibility
  • Submit project plan, investment, job creation, wages, community benefit, and financing gap documentation
  • Receive state and local approvals and comply with performance, security, and clawback terms
