About this program
The Name Change Project connects low-income transgender, gender nonconforming, and nonbinary people with pro bono legal help for legal name changes in covered counties, including several New Jersey counties. Deadline notes: Availability depends on county coverage, partner law firm capacity, and current intake status. Notes: New Jersey county-limited legal support pathway for transgender and nonbinary people.
Eligibility
Low-income transgender, gender nonconforming, and nonbinary people in covered jurisdictions; New Jersey coverage includes Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic, Union, and Middlesex counties under current program information.
Requirements
- Submit an intake request and provide location, identity, income, name change, and eligibility information requested by the program.
