About this program
Great Streets Akron provides matching facade grant support for businesses and property owners improving commercial storefronts in selected neighborhood business districts. The program supports exterior upgrades that make neighborhood commercial corridors more attractive and active.
Eligibility
Eligible businesses and commercial property owners located in Akron Great Streets districts with qualifying exterior facade improvement projects.
Requirements
- Be located in an eligible Great Streets district
- Submit application, project scope, photos, bids, owner consent, and matching funds documentation
- Receive city approval before beginning work and complete reimbursement documentation
