About this program
The Business Cooperation Program can provide rebates of a portion of local sales and use tax allocated to the City of San Diego when a business implements purchasing, sales, or tax accounting practices that generate new local tax revenue for the city.
Eligibility
Businesses with significant taxable sales or purchases that can document new sales and use tax revenue allocated to the City of San Diego under program rules.
Requirements
- Coordinate with City economic development and tax incentive staff
- Document qualifying transactions, tax situs changes, and new local tax allocation
- Execute agreement and comply with reporting and rebate calculation requirements
