About this program

Metro Nashville receives Community Development Block Grant entitlement funds from HUD and MDHA administers the program on behalf of Metro. CDBG funds support activities that benefit low- and moderate-income residents, address slum or blight, or meet urgent needs, including infrastructure, economic development, public facilities, community centers, housing rehabilitation, public services, microenterprise assistance, code enforcement, homeowner assistance, and related community development activities.

Eligibility

Eligible nonprofits, public agencies, community organizations, developers, and qualified project sponsors serving Nashville-Davidson County residents or neighborhoods may apply through MDHA funding processes.

Requirements

  • Project must serve Nashville-Davidson County residents or neighborhoods.
  • Activity must meet a HUD CDBG national objective.
  • Applicant must be an eligible organization or implementing partner under CDBG rules.
