About this program
The Agricultural Marketing Loan Fund provides financing to Maine farmers, food processors, aquaculture operators, and other agricultural enterprises for projects that enhance the manufacturing, marketability, and production of Maine products. Funds may be used for the design, purchase, construction, renovation, or improvement of commodity and storage buildings, packing and marketing facilities, and equipment essential to the agricultural enterprise. The program is funded by the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry and administered by FAME.
Eligibility
Maine farms, food processors, aquaculture operators, and agricultural enterprises engaged or beginning to engage in growing, harvesting, raising animals, aquaculture, value-added production, processing, storing, packaging, or marketing agricultural products.
Requirements
- Business must be located in Maine.
- Business must be engaged or beginning to engage in eligible agricultural or aquaculture activity.
- Applicant must submit an eligibility form to the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry.
