About this program
Automate ND provides financial support to North Dakota Primary Sector Certified businesses facing workforce shortages. Grants may cover up to 50 percent of eligible automation machinery, equipment, and software costs, with awards up to $500,000.

North Dakota Primary Sector Certified businesses, such as manufacturers and agricultural processors, implementing eligible automation projects.
Requirements
- Be certified as a North Dakota primary sector business
- Submit automation project scope, equipment or software costs, workforce shortage justification, and matching funds documentation
- Comply with grant agreement, procurement, reporting, and eligible cost requirements
