Health Center Program Service Area Competition (SAC)

HRSA funding to nonprofits and public agencies to deliver comprehensive primary health care services in designated service areas across the U.S. and territories. Supports Community Health Centers, Migrant Health Centers, Health Care for the Homeless, and Public Housing Primary Care programs. Services must be provided on a sliding fee scale.

Two-phase application. Cyclical with multiple project period start dates per year. Total FY26 program funding approximately $171M with 51 expected awards. Funding amounts vary by service area.

Eligibility

Public agencies and nonprofit private entities such as tribal, faith-based, or community-based organizations proposing to offer comprehensive primary care services to entire service areas listed in HRSA's Service Area Announcement Table.
