About this program
The Green Acres Program provides grants and loans to local governments and eligible nonprofits to acquire, develop, and improve parks, open space, and outdoor recreation facilities, including athletic fields, courts, playgrounds, and community recreation amenities. Deadline notes: Application deadlines are announced by the Green Acres Program for each funding round. Notes: Sports relevance is through outdoor recreation and athletic facility acquisition or development.
