Targeted ArkPlus
Provides investment-based Arkansas income or sales tax credits to qualifying targeted technology businesses.
About this program
Targeted ArkPlus is a discretionary incentive for targeted Arkansas businesses creating new payroll and making qualifying investments. Approved companies may elect to receive credits as income tax credits or sales and use tax credits, with credit percentages based on eligible investment amounts and offsets based on wage levels.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are targeted Arkansas technology-based businesses that create new payroll exceeding $250,000, meet wage thresholds, and invest at least $250,000 within four years of the financial incentive agreement.
Requirements
- Business must qualify as a targeted business in an approved emerging technology sector.
- Business must create new payroll exceeding $250,000.
- Business must pay average hourly wages of new full-time permanent employees at least 150% of the state or county average hourly wage, whichever is less.
