The Tulsa Route 66 Facade Matching Grant Program is administered by the City of Tulsa and Tulsa Route 66 Commission to support heritage tourism and historic preservation along Tulsa's recognized Route 66 alignments. The program helps commercial, industrial, and mixed-use property owners and business owners restore historic buildings and improve facades along the Mother Road. Awards range from $10,000 to $40,000 and require the applicant to provide at least 50 percent of eligible improvement costs.
Eligibility
Commercial, industrial, or mixed-use property owners and business owners with eligible structures along Tulsa's recognized Route 66 alignments may apply for facade restoration assistance.
Requirements
- Property must be located along a recognized Route 66 alignment within the city limits of Tulsa.
- Structure must be historically significant and generally constructed prior to or between 1926 and 1980.
- Applicant must provide at least 50 percent of eligible improvement costs.
