About this program
The Heroes for Hire Tax Credit provides an Alabama income tax incentive to businesses that hire eligible unemployed or combat veterans for qualifying full-time jobs. The credit is available for qualifying hires that meet wage and employment requirements and is administered through the Alabama Department of Revenue.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are Alabama businesses that qualify under the Full Employment Act or Alabama Small Business and Agribusiness Jobs Act and hire eligible unemployed or combat veterans into qualifying full-time positions.
Requirements
- Employer must meet requirements for the Full Employment Act or Alabama Small Business and Agribusiness Jobs Act credit.
- Employer must hire an eligible unemployed or combat veteran.
- Position must be full-time.
