About this program
Allentown’s Neighborhood Improvement Zone captures certain state and local taxes generated in the zone to help finance debt service for qualified development projects. The tool supports major commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, office, and entertainment investment in downtown Allentown.
Eligibility
Qualified development projects and businesses located within Allentown’s Neighborhood Improvement Zone that meet statutory and local approval requirements.
Requirements
- Confirm location and project eligibility in the NIZ
- Work with the Allentown Neighborhood Improvement Zone Development Authority and financing partners
- Provide development plan, financing structure, tax projections, approvals, and compliance reporting
