About this program
NY ABLE allows eligible New Yorkers with disabilities to save and invest money for qualified disability expenses without jeopardizing certain means-tested benefits, supporting education, employment, housing, transportation, health, and assistive technology needs.
Eligibility
Eligible individuals whose disability onset occurred before the applicable ABLE age threshold and who meet federal and New York ABLE program requirements.
Requirements
- Applicants must certify eligibility, open an NY ABLE account, provide required identity information, and use funds for qualified disability expenses.
