Dirigo Business Incentives — Capital Investment Credit (Clean Energy/Green Manufacturing)
The Dirigo Business Incentives Capital Investment Credit provides up to a 10% tax credit on capital investments for Maine clean energy and green manufacturing businesses in eligible sectors including R&D and manufacturing. Effective January 1, 2025.

Eligibility
For-profit Maine businesses primarily engaged in eligible sectors such as manufacturing, R&D, and renewable chemical production with over $50,000 in annual eligible capital investments. Advance DECD certification required.
Requirements

- Over $50,000 in eligible capital investments annually
- Obtain advance DECD certification
