Eligibility
Georgia manufacturers purchasing machinery, equipment, industrial materials, packaging supplies, or other qualifying items necessary and integral to manufacturing may use applicable sales and use tax exemptions.
Requirements
- Confirm the purchased property and use qualify under Georgia sales and use tax exemption rules.
- Provide the appropriate exemption certificate or documentation to the seller.
- Maintain records showing qualifying manufacturing use in a Georgia manufacturing plant.
