About this program
The Emerging Entrepreneur Loan Program provides loan capital through nonprofit lenders to Minnesota businesses owned and operated by minorities, low-income persons, women, veterans, and persons with disabilities. The program is intended to improve access to affordable capital for entrepreneurs who may face barriers in conventional credit markets.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are Minnesota businesses owned and operated by one or more people from eligible underserved groups, including minorities, low-income persons, women, veterans, and persons with disabilities.
Requirements
- Business must operate in Minnesota.
- Business must be owned and operated by an eligible entrepreneur such as a minority, low-income person, woman, veteran, or person with a disability.
- Applicant must apply through an approved nonprofit lender.
