Federal program providing up to 90% loan guarantees on private lender loans to enrolled AI/AN tribal members and businesses with 51%+ Native American ownership; Louisiana's 4 federally recognized tribes (Chitimacha, Coushatta, Jena Band of Choctaw, Tunica-Biloxi) and their enrolled members are eligible; maximum $500,000 for individual borrowers; Southern Zone (Albuquerque) covers Louisiana; accepted year-round.

Eligibility

Enrolled members of any of Louisiana's 4 federally recognized tribes (Chitimacha Tribe of Louisiana – St. Mary Parish; Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana – Allen Parish; Jena Band of Choctaw Indians – LaSalle Parish; Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana – Avoyelles Parish) and business entities with at least 51% AI/AN ownership; project must benefit the economy of a reservation or tribal service area.

  • Enrolled member of a federally recognized AI/AN tribe, or business entity with at least 51% AI/AN ownership
  • Project must benefit the economy of a reservation or tribal service area
  • At least 20% equity in the project being financed
