About this program
Michigan brownfield redevelopment incentives allow approved brownfield authorities to use tax increment financing to reimburse eligible activities such as environmental assessment, demolition, infrastructure, site preparation, and other eligible redevelopment costs.
Eligibility
Eligible brownfield projects sponsored by a local brownfield redevelopment authority and approved under Michigan brownfield rules.
Requirements
- Project must involve an eligible brownfield property
- Create and approve a brownfield plan
- Use tax capture only for approved eligible activities
