About this program
The Stacks Foundation runs an ongoing grants program funding developers, researchers, and educators building on Stacks, the Bitcoin Layer 2 enabling smart contracts and sBTC. Grant categories include core protocol development, sBTC ecosystem, DeFi on Bitcoin, infrastructure, dev tools, education, and community programs. Grants are paid in STX or USD and range from microgrants ($5,000) to full project grants ($100,000+).
Eligibility
Individuals, teams, and organizations building on Stacks, sBTC, or supporting Bitcoin-secured smart contract development. Open globally including U.S. applicants. Code is generally expected to be open-source.
