Dirigo Business Incentives — Employee Training Credit
The Dirigo Business Incentives Employee Training Credit provides a $2,000 tax credit per worker trained in an approved training program for eligible Maine employers, effective January 1, 2025.

Eligibility
For-profit Maine businesses that pay to train three or more workers in an approved employee training program such as internships or community college programs. Advance DECD certification required.
Requirements
- Must be a for-profit Maine business
- Train at least 3 workers in approved training programs
- Obtain advance DECD certification
