Property tax abatement for qualifying traded-sector business investment and job creation in Salem’s Enterprise Zone.
About this program
Salem participates in the Oregon Enterprise Zone program to encourage business investment and job creation. Qualified companies making eligible property investments may receive a temporary local property tax exemption on new improvements and equipment.
Eligibility
Eligible businesses making qualifying investments in Salem’s Enterprise Zone and meeting state and local job and wage requirements.
Requirements
- Apply and receive authorization before placing eligible property in service
- Meet Enterprise Zone investment, employment, wage, and local approval requirements
- Submit annual compliance and exemption documentation
