About this program
The Maryland Small Business Development Financing Authority EPIP Loan is part of Maryland's State Small Business Credit Initiative participating programs. It is designed to assist businesses in socially and economically disadvantaged areas with working capital, equipment, contract financing, and other business financing needs when conventional financing is not available on reasonable terms. The program requires private capital participation and lender risk sharing, and loans may range from $25,000 to $1,000,000.
Eligibility
Maryland small businesses, especially businesses in socially and economically disadvantaged areas, that cannot obtain adequate financing on reasonable terms and can secure the required private capital match and lender participation.
Requirements
- Business must operate in Maryland.
- Business must be unable to obtain adequate financing on reasonable terms through normal financing channels.
- Applicant must provide a minimum 1:1 private capital match.
