About this program
The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation Arts & Culture Initiative, managed by the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, will offer 2026 General Operating Micro Grants of up to $2,500 for small arts and culture organizations with less than one full-time staff member. The process opens August 3, 2026 and closes September 11, 2026. Buffalo arts and culture nonprofits may use the funds to execute immediate programming, provided they meet nonprofit status, budget, mission, and geographic eligibility requirements.
Eligibility
Small to mid-sized 501(c)(3) arts and culture nonprofit organizations physically located in or operating in Western New York, including Buffalo and Erie County, with no more than $500,000 in operating expenses and less than one full-time staff member for the microgrant opportunity.
Requirements
- Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization or apply through an acceptable fiscal sponsor
- Have arts and culture as core to the organization's mission
- Be physically located in or operate in an eligible Western New York county, including Erie County
