About this program
Dane County’s Micro-Business Loan Program provides loans from $1,500 to $8,000 to eligible small businesses with five or fewer employees located in Dane County outside the City of Madison for establishing a new business or creating jobs for low- and moderate-income county residents.
Eligibility
Eligible small businesses with five or fewer employees located in Dane County outside the City of Madison, including McFarland businesses, that establish a new business or create jobs for low- and moderate-income residents.
Requirements
- Submit Dane County micro-business loan application materials
- Provide business plan, owner information, financials, use of funds, and job creation or LMI benefit documentation
- Meet CDBG, underwriting, eligible-use, repayment, and reporting requirements
