About this program
The Montana Board of Investments Sawmill Revitalization Loan Program provides fixed-rate financing through approved lenders for projects that revitalize a closed sawmill and return it to commercial operation. Financing can have terms up to 25 years, an interest rate not exceeding 4%, and job creation credits may reduce the Board interest rate by up to 2.50%. The Board does not lend directly to businesses and only approved lenders may submit loan reservation and application forms.

Montana sawmill revitalization projects seeking approved-lender financing to return a closed sawmill to commercial operation.
Requirements
- Project must revitalize a closed sawmill and return it to commercial operation.
- Business must work through an approved lender.
- Approved lender must submit reservation and application forms.
