About this program
The City of San Diego Small Business Enhancement Program uses business tax certificate revenue to fund nonprofit organizations that provide services benefiting small businesses citywide and in designated microdistricts, including business improvement, marketing, technical assistance, and district support.
Eligibility
Nonprofit business organizations, business improvement districts, and eligible economic development nonprofits serving San Diego small businesses under the annual Economic Development Funding Program process.
Requirements
- Apply through the City economic development funding RFQ and RFP process
- Document nonprofit status, small business service area, program plan, budget, and outcomes
- Comply with city contract, invoicing, insurance, and reporting requirements
