About this program
VetFran is a strategic initiative of the International Franchise Association (IFA) Foundation that connects U.S. military veterans with over 500 vetted franchise opportunities offering veteran-specific incentives. Participating franchise brands provide discounts on initial franchise fees, royalty waivers, training discounts, and other incentives to reduce upfront costs for veterans. VetFran also partners with funding providers offering veteran-specific lending discounts. Although veterans make up about 7% of the population, they account for 14% of all franchisees in America. VetFran services are free to veterans and military spouses.
Eligibility
U.S. military veterans (with honorable discharge from any branch of the military or Coast Guard) and military-connected families exploring franchising; specific incentive eligibility varies by franchise brand.

- Honorable discharge documentation (DD-214)
- Franchise application with participating brand
