About this program
Rockville Economic Development, Inc. has offered a Retail Façade Improvement Grant Program funded by the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development Community Legacy Program. The program reimburses up to 50 percent of eligible exterior facade project costs, capped at $5,000 per property, for improvements such as lighting, paint, awnings, doors, windows, signs, ADA access ramps, and landscaping.
Eligibility
Owners, landlords, or tenants of retail properties located within the City of Rockville’s Sustainable Communities areas with a current Rockville business license.
Requirements
- Verify property location and current Rockville business license
- Submit photos, proposed improvements, cost estimates, and insurance verification
- Receive REDI and DHCD review and funding determination before reimbursement
