Racine provides microenterprise assistance for eligible low- and moderate-income entrepreneurs and very small businesses.

About this program

The City of Racine Microenterprise Assistance Program supports eligible entrepreneurs and microbusinesses with technical assistance and financial support funded through local community development resources. The program is intended to help Racine residents start, stabilize, or grow very small businesses while expanding economic opportunity for low- and moderate-income households.

Eligibility

Eligible microbusiness owners and entrepreneurs in Racine, particularly low- and moderate-income applicants or businesses with five or fewer employees, may apply when funds are available.

Requirements

  • Business or proposed business must be located in the City of Racine.
  • Applicant must meet microenterprise eligibility requirements.
  • Applicant must provide business information, household or owner eligibility documentation if required, budget, and planned use of funds.
